Fevicryl Acrylic Colour Indian Red 10, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Rolling Pin, Talcum Powder, Paper Cutter, Clay Modelling Tools, Colour Palette, Water Container
Create elegant terracotta-style diyas using Mouldit, perfect for adding a festive touch to your home this Diwali.
Mix Mouldit resin base and hardener to form an even dough.
Add Acrylic Colour Indian Red 10 to the dough.
Roll the coloured dough into a slab using a rolling pin. Use a steel bowl or plate with some depth as a mould—place the slab inside it and gently shape it to form the diya.
Create three diya bases of different sizes using similar moulds (bowls).
Let them dry completely.
Refer to the image for guidance.
Roll the coloured dough into thin coils.
Use the coils to make patterns inside the small bowl and along the walls of the medium bowls.
Secure the design using clay modelling tools and Fabric Glue. Let everything dry.
Arrange the three bowls in descending order of size.
Pour water into the bowls, add flower petals, and place a tealight in the centre.
Your terracotta-style diya is now ready for the festive display!
