Bottle art at its best is what this DIY is! An art Nouveau design is what we have chosen to decorate the bottles. Fevicryl Mouldit being handcrafted to create these beauties, is a DIY that can be imbibed in many other projects as ideas with a difference.
STEP 1 : Source the base
Begin by taking a pair of glass bottles of the same size and shape.
STEP 2 : Paint and draw the design
- Mix Fevicryl Acrylic Colours – Dark Green 06, Golden Yellow 09 and Greenery 67, pour this into each of the bottles and swirl to paint the bottles from inside. Ensure the paint has been coated evenly from inside. Let it dry
- Draw an art Nouveau design on an A4 sheet of paper
- Trace it on the periphery of each of the bottles using white carbon.
STEP 3 : Prepare the dough
- Take Fevicryl Mouldit – resin base & hardener, mix well to form an even dough.
STEP 4 : Moulding and handcrafting the dough
- Make coils, and follow the floral nouveau design, where you see the stems. Stick with Fevicryl Fabric Glue as you go along.
- Similarly, handcraft the flowers and stick appropriately following the design. Use clay carving tools for ease. Let it dry
STEP 5 : Start painting
- Paint the design using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Pearl Blue 305 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352.
- Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Final touches of enhancement
- Create bold creative strokes using Fevicryl Fabric Glue around the design. Let it dry.
- Paint over the Fabric Glue design using Pearl Metallic Gold 352, giving an enhanced and royal look to the bottle.
