Description :

Create a unique shibori pattern blouse with intricate paisley embellishments using fabric colors and assorted decorative elements. This project combines traditional dyeing techniques with modern design for a stylish and personalized garment.

STEP 1 : Source the base material
  • We are going to make a Shibori pattern design blouse using Fabric Colours.
  • Take the white poplin fabric and fold it in an accordion style (fan folds).
  • Fold the fabric again to make a triangular shape, then tie the 3 corners with cobbler thread or rubber bands. (You can follow any of the many Shibori folding techniques).
STEP 2 : Dye the folded fabric
  • Dye the folded fabric in an indigo shade using Fevicryl Fabric Colours Black 202 and Prussian Blue 219. Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Make the patch
  • Take the dyed fabric, mark, and cut a paisley shape from the fabric.
  • Enhance the paisley shape using assorted embellishments like Metallic Colour Cutdana, White Cutdana, and Tear Drop Shaped Gottapatti, adhering them with Fabric Glue. Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Stitch the blouse
  • Take the grey fabric and the dyed fabric with the Shibori pattern, then stitch them to create the tailored blouse with a bow on the rear side for tying.
  • Stick the paisley-shaped patch on the back using Fabric Glue.
STEP 5 : Final look

Your Shibori pattern blouse with a unique paisley embellishment is now complete and ready to wear
