Plank With Cobbler Thread
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01, Crimson 04, Orange 17, White 27, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Wooden Plank 8” × 12”, A3 White Paper, White Carbon Paper, Pencil, Cobbler Thread, Pencil, Scissors, Half Cut Pearls, Colours Palette, Water Container

A unique idea of using cobbler thread to enhance your creativity!
STEP 1 : Source the base material
- Take a wooden plank or plywood measuring approximately 8” ×12” in size.
STEP 2 : Paint the base
- Paint the plank with a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour - White 27. Let it dry.
- Paint the second coat with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Crimson 04 and Orange 17 in a dhoop chaav style.
- Let it dry.
- Take an A3 white paper. Draw an ornamental design in the size of the plank.
- Trace the same design on the painted plank with a white carbon paper.
STEP 3 : Paste the thread
- Start sticking the cobbler thread by following the design in a continuous manner using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
- Leave it to dry completely.
STEP 4 : Finishing touches
- The plank, with the thread stuck will look like this.
STEP 5 : Enhance the design
- Enhance the design by sticking half cut pearls in between the design using Fevicryl Fabric Glue.
- Let it dry.
STEP 6 : Paint the details
- Paint the border on both the sides of the design using an off-white shade made by mixing Fevicryl Acrylic Colours - Burnt Sienna 01 and White 27.
- Let it dry.
