Pencil End Decoration
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic Gold 352, Bronze 355, Fevicryl Non Sticky Shilpkar, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Rolling Pin, Clay Carving Tools, Ornamental Stones (White Small Sized), Thread, Scissors, Paper Cutter, Tooth Pick, Colour Palette, Water Container.
Description :
Have some fun this Gudi Padwa by making these cute pencil ends for kids and give them a lesson in Indian culture and traditions. It is done using

STEP 1
Take Shilpkar resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
Take a small sized dough ball to make a Gudi pot.
Shape the dough ball into a pot with a hollow center.
STEP 2
Your pot will look like this after shaping the clay.
Leave it till semi dry.
STEP 3
Take some dough; roll it into a thin slab. Leave it till semi dry.
Cut the thin slab into rectangle shape.
Fanfold the semi dried rectangle to depict the fabric for the Gudi.
Stick the cloth in the hollow of the pot with Fabric Glue.
Leave it to dry.
STEP 4
The pot will look like this.
STEP 5
Make two such pots.
Then take some dough and make tiny balls out of it.
Press each of the tiny clay ball with your palms to flatten it.
Take the thread and stick the flatten balls on it in equal distance with Fabric Glue to depict the batasa (flat sugar candy). Leave it to dry.
STEP 6
Similarly take some dough to make a neem leaf stem for the Gudi. Stick the neem leaf stem on the clay fabric with Fabric Glue. Let it dry completely.
Paint the pot, the clay fabric, the neem leaf stem and the batasa( flat sugar candy) using Acrylic Colours Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, White 27, Cerulean Blue 32, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl Metallic Gold 352 and Bronze 355.
Leave it to dry.
Enhance the clay fabric by sticking white coloured ornamental stones with Fabric Glue.
Use this clay Gudi as the pencil ends.
