Onam Sadhya Miniature
You Will Need:
Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Light Green 12, Orange 17, White 27, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Small Banana Leaf, Rolling Pin, Paper Cutter, Clay Carving Tools, Colour Palette, Water Container.

STEP 1 : Mixing Mouldit
• Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 2 : Rolling the dough
• Take the dough; roll it to make the medium thin slab.
• Take the banana leaf, press it and make its impression on the slab.
STEP 3 : Making the base
• Let it get semi dry and then remove the leaf.
• You will get the impression like this. Then fold ½ inch of the corners all around the platter.
• Refer to the image. Let it dry completely.
STEP 4 : Painting the leaf
• Paint the leaf platter in shading manner using Acrylic Colours Dark Green 06 and Light Green 12.
• Leave it to dry.
STEP 5 : Making miniature of the food
• Take some dough to make the upperi ( banana chips), ellisheri bowl ( pumpkin, bean, coconut curry), chor (rice), sambhar bowl (curry), pappadam, avail bowl ( mix vegetable), banana, pickle, jalebi etc using pinching technique, coil technique and then using Fabric Glue for sticking it together.
• Let it dry completely.
• After drying the platter will look like this.
STEP 6 : Painting the food miniature
• Paint the food on the platter with Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Black 02, Chrome Yellow 03, Crimson 04, Dark Green 06, Light Green 12, Orange 17 and White 27.
• Leave it to dry.
• Your Onam Sadhya (platter of traditional Onam food) is ready
