• We are going to make the Maang Tikka using Mouldit and Kundan. • Take Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 2 : Roll and cut the slab
• Take the dough; roll it to make a thin slab. Let it get semi dry. • Mark and cut the circle measuring 5 ½ cm diameter in size.
STEP 3 : Make a border
• Take some clay to make the thick and thin coils and tiny balls out of it. • Take the cut clay circle and cover the periphery of the circle by sticking the thick coil using Fabric Glue. • Let it dry.
STEP 4 : Sticking clay balls
• Stick the tiny clay balls towards the inner side of the coil with Fabric Glue. • Let it dry.
STEP 5 : Decorating the maang tikka
• Take some clay to make the tiny tear drop shapes. • Make the floral design inside the circle by sticking the tear drop shaped petals along with the blue kundan in the centre using Fabric Glue. • Let it dry. • Your maang tikka is ready to paint.
STEP 6 : Painting the maang tikka
• Paint the floral pendant by giving the antique look using Acrylic Colours Black 02 and Pearl Metallic Gold 352. • Leave it to dry.
STEP 7 : Stick the kundans
• Decorate the pendant by sticking the green and white colour kundan and ornamental stone chain using Fabric Glue. • Let it dry.
