Create the Kinnal Art of Mysore using Fevicryl Acrylic Colours and 3D Outliners.
STEP 1 : Source the base material
- We are going to make a wooden plank that’s decorated with Kinnal Art from Mysore, made using white cement and Fevicol MR.
- Take a 12” x 12” size wooden / MDF plank.
STEP 2 : Paint the base coat
- Paint the plank with a base coat of Acrylic Colour - White 27.
- Let it dry.
- Paint with a second coat of Acrylic Colours - Black 02, Crimson 04, Sap Green 21, White 27 and Cerulean Blue 32.
- Let it dry.
STEP 3 : Draw and trace the design
- Take an A3 white paper. Draw a peacock design from Kinnal art along with florals and a creeper design in the size of the plank.
- Trace the same design on the painted plank base with white carbon paper.
STEP 4 : Paint the design
- We are going to paint the design with an emboss effect using white cement, a little amount of water and Fevicol MR.
- Take a plastic bowl; add white cement, Fevicol MR and 2 to3 drops of water, to make smooth consistency mixture.
- Make the cone for the mixture and fill the design with it.
- Let it dry completely.
STEP 5 : Finished look
- Paint the Kinnal Art using Acrylic Colours - Black 02 , Sky Blue 63 , Salmon Pink 65, Orange 17, Crimson 04, Pearl Metallic - Gold 352, Pearl White 301 and Water Based Glass Colour - Tomato Red.
- Let it dry completely.
