You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Black 02, Flesh Tint 30, Greenery 67, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl Golden Yellow 308, Turquoise Blue 320, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Sparkling Pearl Poppy Red 901, Deep Rose 902, Fevicryl Non Sticky Shilpkar, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, Gotta Patti ½” Lace, Small Sized Metal Flowers, Pearls, Recycles Plactic Bottles( Small Sized), Clay Carving Tools, Rolling Pin, Paper Cutter, Scissors, Pencil, Metal Wire, Colour Palette, Water Container.

Description :

Valentine is all about celebrating togetherness and love. Make this pair using old plastic bottles and Shilpkar; quirky containers to be used by you and your partner to store small knickknacks.

STEP 1

Take Shilpkar resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough

STEP 2

Take two recycled plastic bottles to make the Kathputali pair.

STEP 3

Take the dough and make the head of kathputali on the lid of the bottle. Leave it till semi dry.

STEP 4

Take some dough; roll it to make a flat slab to make the dress and Rajasthani style turban for the head. Stick the slab on the bottle in such a way that it will give the effect of the dress using little amount of Fabric Glue at regular intervals. Let it dry. Similarly stick the turban on the head with Fabric Glue. Take some dough; roll it to make the hands of the kathputali. Stick it appropriately with Fabric Glue at the sides of the figurine.

STEP 5

Make two such figurines to depict a pair. Take some dough and make the noses for both the figures and stick it properly. Let it dry.

STEP 6

Paint the faces, turban and the dresses of the kathputali using Acrylic Colours Black 02, Flesh Tint 30, Greenery 67, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Pearl Golden Yellow 308, Turquoise Blue 320, Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Sparkling Pearl Poppy Red 901 and Deep Rose 902. Stick the gotta patti lace aesthetically on the dress and the turban of the kathputali with Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry. Enhance the kathputali face of the women by making the earrings and the nose ring with small sized metal flowers, pearls and metal wire using little amount of clay and Fabric Glue. Let it dry.

STEP 7

Your kathputali bottle containers will look like this.
