Create a stunning jewellery box with decoupage, featuring a famous Bollywood actress. This advanced craft project combines vibrant paints and intricate designs for a unique, personalized keepsake.
STEP 1 : Source the base material
- We are going to do a decoupage of a famous Bollywood actress on the box.
- Take a black and white printout of the Bollywood actress in the size of the lid of the box along with the ghungroos.
- Paint the box with a base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27. Let it dry.
- Draw triangular geometric pattern designs all over the painted box, leaving space for the photo print.
- Paint the triangular design with Acrylic Colours: White 27, Teal Blue 68, Neon Yellow 011, Orange 017, and Pink 018. Let it dry.
STEP 2 : Paste the printout
- Cut the printout to the size of the lid of the wooden box neatly.
- Stick the printout of the actress onto the lid of the box with Mod Podge.
- Seal the printout with a first coat of Modge Podge horizontally and then vertically.
- Apply multiple coats of Modge Podge on the design to protect it.
STEP 3 : Final touches
- Similarly, stick the printout of the ghungroo towards the bottom side of the box.
- Enhance the printout using Acrylic Colours Black 02 and Neon Pink 018.
- Leave it to dry completely.
- After drying, apply one more coat of Modge Podge all over the box.
- Leave it to dry completely.
