Create a striking piece of wall decor by painting a caricature of a common man on a recycled metal roti maker. This project, inspired by R.K. Laxman's iconic illustrations, combines art and sustainability beautifully.
STEP 1 : Source the base material
- Take the metal roti maker and paint it with Acrylic Colour White 27.
- Leave it to dry.
- On an A4 sized white paper, draw a character of a common man inspired by the stories and caricatures of R.K. Laxman.
- Trace the design onto the painted metal roti maker using yellow carbon paper.
- Draw radiating lines in the background of the figure.
- Refer to the main image for guidance.
STEP 2 : Paint the design
- Paint the figure and the radiating lines with Acrylic Colours: Black 02, White 27, Neon Yellow 011, and Orange 017.
- Let it dry.
