Clay House Tealite

You Will Need:

: Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Indian Red 10, Orange 17, Pink 18, Yellow Ochre 26, White 27,Vandyke Brown 37 , Fevicryl Non Sticky Shilpkar, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fevicol Mr, Fine Art Brushes. Rolling Pin, Paper Cutter, Ruler, Pencil, Key Chain Ring, Metal Pin, Clay Carving Tools, Comb, Colour Palette, Water Container

Description :
With the advent of the New Year change the look around the house with these DIY Tea- lites. These have been made every so special with a crackle finish.
STEP 1
Take Shilpkar resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough. Take the dough; roll it to make the thin slab. Mark and cut the slab measuring 3 ½” x 4” in size. Make two such slabs to make the 2 side walls of the house. Mark and cut the windows and remove the excess clay. Refer to the image. Leave it to semi dry.
STEP 2
Take 1 ½ Shilpkar to make the rest two sides of the house which end in a triangle at one side. Roll the dough ball to make the slab. Mark and cut the slab measuring 4” x 7” in size. Make two such slabs for the rest two triangular sides of the house.
STEP 3
Mark and the windows and remove the excess clay neatly. Leave it to semi dry.
STEP 4
Join and stick the four walls of the house using fabric glue and little amount of the clay. Leave it to dry.
STEP 5
Make the roof of the house with 2 Shilpkar. Roll the dough ball to make the thin slab. Mark and cut the slab in rectangular shape measuring 8” x 4 ½” in size. Let it to semi dry. After it get semi dry cut the slit in the centre of the rectangle. Stick the slab to make the roof of the house with Fabric Glue and little amount of the clay. Let it dry.
STEP 6
Make two such houses for the tea-lites. You can cut the windows differently in the other model of the house. Insert the key ring with the metal pin as the holder or to hold the house tea-lite.
STEP 7
Take Fabric Glue and spread it on one of the roof of the house. Create the texture of the roof by using a comb. Let it dry.
STEP 8
Similarly create another texture for the other roof of the house using Fabric Glue. Leave it to dry.
STEP 9
Paint both the houses using Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Indian Red 10, Orange 17, Pink 18 and Vandyke Brown 37 respectively. Let it dry. To give the crackle effect on house walls apply the coat of the Fevicol MR on the walls of the house , then immediately applying a light shade of yellow ochre by mixing Yellow Ochre 26 and White 27. Leave it to dry. After drying you will get the crackled effect on the walls of the house. Your houses for the tea-lite is ready
