Description :

This summer make your own bird feeder using any waste plastic bottles and help birds around you through this summer heat.

STEP 1 : Source the base material

Take two plastic bottles. We are going to make the mushroom shape bird feeder inspired from the mushroom houses described in fairy tales using waste plastic bottles.

STEP 2 : Mark and cut the bottle

Mark and cut the bottles appropriately with a paper cutter and a pair of scissors.

STEP 3 : Build the structure

Mark and cut the window on the front side to put the feed for the birds. Stick the bottom and the upper side carefully with Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry completely.

STEP 4 : Apply a coat of Fevicol MR

Apply Fevicol MR on the bottles to create a rough surface for the paint to stay on the plastic bottles. Leave it to dry completely.

STEP 5 : Paint the base coat

Paint the bottles with a base coat of Fevicryl Acrylic Colour white 27. Let it dry. Attach the cord by piercing a hole in the cap to further dangle it.

STEP 6 : Paint the final coat

Paint the bottles with Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Burnt Sienna 01, Chrome Yellow 03, Orange 17 and White 27. Let it dry.

STEP 7 : Final touches & Look

Take colourful card paper, punch few flowers out of it with a flower punch. Stick the flowers towards the cap of the bottle with the wooden bead in the center of each flower using Fevicryl Fabric Glue. Let it dry. Paint the polka dots on the upper side of the bottle with Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03 and Orange 17. Let it dry.
