Blue Pottery Design With Durga Face

You Will Need:

Fevicryl Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03, Ultramarine Blue 23, White 27, Fevicryl Mouldit, Fevicryl Fabric Glue, Fine Art Brushes, MDF Cut Out, Pencil, A3 White Paper, Yellow Carbon Paper, Clay Carving Tools, Rolling Pin, Colour Palette, Water Container.

Description :
This amalgamation of Blue pottery and Durga is just so beautiful, an DIY for the auspicious festival of Navratri.

STEP 1 : Painting the base
• We are going to make the Durga face in Mouldit along with the blue pottery design. • Take the MDF cut out base, paint the base with the base coat of Acrylic Colour White 27. • Let it dry.
STEP 2 : Drawing the design
• Take an A3 white paper; draw a Durga face and the Blue pottery floral design on it in the size of the MDF cutout base. • Trace the same blue pottery design by leaving the space in center for Mouldit Durga face using yellow carbon paper.
STEP 3 : Painting the background
• Paint the background of the blue pottery flowers using Acrylic Colour Ultramarine Blue 23. • Leave it to dry completely.
STEP 4 : Painting the floral motifs
• Paint the design Acrylic Colours Chrome Yellow 03, Ultramarine Blue 23 and White 27. • Leave it to dry.
STEP 5 : Mixing Mouldit
• We are going to make the Durga face with Mouldit. • Take the Mouldit resin base and hardener; mix it thoroughly to make even dough.
STEP 6 : Roll and cut the dough
• Take the dough; roll it to make the medium thin slab. Let it get semi dry. • Mark the outer line of the Durga face with crown on the slab.
STEP 7 : Build the face
• Start building the crown and the jewellery using clay coils and tiny tear drop and round clay shapes using Fabric Glue for sticking. • Let it dry completely.
STEP 8 : Finishing the look
• Your Durga face with crown will look like this.
STEP 9 : Painting the face
• Paint the Durga face and the crown using Acrylic Colours Ultramarine Blue 23 and white 27. • Take the rough rag (cloth) and wipe out the shade of blue colour from the crown and jewellery to give it a rustic look. • Paint a few dry colour strokes on the crown with Acrylic Colour White 27. • Let it dry.
STEP 10 : Finishing
• Stick the painted face of Durga on the plank using Fabric Glue. • Let it dry.
